Summary:"Nausea and vomiting are symptoms that a reasonable and often happen in the first trimester of pregnancy. This condition can cause of pregnant rnother's get worse. Ginger aromatherapy is one of alternative method that is very efficient and effective to decrease nausea and vomiting in the first trimester of pregnancy. The objective of study was to analyse the effect of ginger arornatherapy (zingiber officinale) to decrease nausea and vomiting in the first trimester of pregnancy. Design used in this study was Quasy-experirnent. The samples were 18 respondents, devided into treatment and control group. The independent variable was ginger aromatherapy. While the dependent variables were nausea and vorniting in the first trimester of pregnancy. Data were collected using structured questionnaire and observation. Data were then analyzed using statistic Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with level of significance a<0.05 and Mann Whitney Test with level of significance a<0,05. The result showed that giving ginger aaromatherapy decreased nausea and vorniting in the first trimester of pregnancy, with the result of statistical Wilcoxon Sig►ed Rank Test (p-0.025) and Mann Whitney Test (p=0.04) It can be concluded that giving ginger aromatherapy could decreased nausea and vomiting in the first trimester of pregnancy. It is recomm.endation for the nurse and other health profession to use ginger aromatherapy as alternative rnedication of nausea and vomiting in pregnant wornen. "
