Summary: | This study \Vas aimed to observe the effect of glucose 'With and without sodiumchloride 15 minutes before exercises upon the maximal work capasity. The study used Randomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel of this study were participans of The student football club in Palu with simple random sampling. The amount of samples were 95 healthy male student arolUld 15-17 years old. They were divided into 3 groups (A=31, B=32, C=32). First group was treated ingest glucose-1-IaCl drinks (10 and 0,9% per 300 ml solution), while second group treated ingest glucose drinks (1 0% ), and the last one was as control group 15 minutes before exercise. The treatment of this study was held during 6 weeks. Before the training start, the subject should be measured the maximal work capasity as pretest data. In last training, th~ maximal work c-apJsity me3sured again as posttest. T 0 measure the maximal work capasity, used Conconi's Test for Cyclists. Futhermore, the data were analyzed using desctiptive statistic test and anova test and Least Significant Difference Test with significance level about 0,05. The results of this study showed that glucose-NaCI ingest before exercise as well as glucose ingest, could increased maximal work capasity from 177,58 watt to 208,55 (+30,97 watt) and from 179,06 watt to 201,56 watt (+22,50 watt) significantly (P=O,OOO). Its concluded that glucose with and without natrium chlorida increased maximal work capasity, where maximal work capasity the effect of glucose-NaCI ingest increased more than glucose itself are significant difference (P=O,Ol5).
