Summary: | puskesmas (public health center) is one of the primary health care facilities that have an essential role in handling the COVID-19 pandemic. However, outpatient visits to public health centers in the city of Surabaya decreased by (51.75%) from the beginning of March 2019 to December 2020. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the utilization of puskesmas in Surabaya during the COVID-19 pandemic based on Health Belief Model (HBM) theory. The study was an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design. The study was conducted in Surabaya from October 2020 to September 2021, with all of the people in Surabaya as the population of the study. The number of samples in this study was 112 people. The results of the regression test showed that the decrease in the utilization of health services at the puskesmas was influenced by perceived benefit and cues to action with significant values of (0.045) and (0.047) respectively. In an effort to increase the utilization of health services, puskesmas can develop a safe service system in accordance with health protocols and socialize these efforts to the community so that it can increase public trust to return to utilize health services at the puskesmas. |
