Summary:Social behavior development is the most problem in preschool children. Lack of stimulation in playing is one of the factors that influence. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of play traditional ular naga to the development of social behavior in preschool children. The research used Quasy Experimental Design. The population were the student of TK A Hidayatul Ummah Surabaya. The samples were taken by purposive sampling consisted of 20 respondents who met inclusion criteria, which were divided into treatment and control groups. The independent variable was the play traditional ular naga and the dependent variable use the development of social behavior in preschool children. Data were collected by observation and analyzed with Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann Whitney U Test with significance level α ≤ 0,05. The result showed that there were differences of social behavior development before and after intervention in treatment group (p = 0,04). There were no differences in control group (p = 0,157). The result with Mann Whitney U tes showed that play traditional ular naga effect of social behaviors development (p = 0,021). It can be concluded that traditional playing ular naga can increase development of social behavior. For further research could be given traditional ular naga playing to the development of language in toddler children.
