When someone has painful experience m the past, he sometimes has hallucination which is connected to it. Based on that phenomenon, the writer wants to analyze the phenomenon of catharsis experienced by main character in a novel Tinkers by Paul Harding. Desire of an old man to meet his father makes catharsis appear in the rest of his life. Moreover, catharsis affects on his life. Involuntary, instinctive body process is the definition catharsis by Freud and Breuer. Catharsis appears in the psychology of human behavior. Hallucination experiences by George Washington Crosby as main character in Tinkers novel is the example for catharsis in psychological human behavior.
