to make his or her life easier to lead on. Eva Luna, the major character in the novel written by Isabel Allende, is the person performing such a typical struggle. This thesis aims at identifying Eva,s unique way to survive in the
hostility of life, and how it brings her to a life she has never expected to happen. The creative power used by the heroine is manifested in the way she uses her creative mind, which also shows her uniqueness. Using Adler's concept of "creative power', as psychological approach, the writer will analyze how Eva gains success by working on her creative
power that works for completion and perfection. The writer is also backed up with characterization and setting concepts in order to give deeper analysis. The result is expected to give an inspiration to overcome life struggle, and that it is essential to work on our creative power. |
