This study dealt with the historicity of Roland Emmerich's The Patriot movie that portrays American Revolution. The writer took some dialogues and scenes in the movie and some information when the movie produced in 2000 as the main material to analyze the director intention to make the movie. The writer applied the New Historicism theory to search for the relation between the scenes and the historicity of the movie. The analysis of non-narrative aspects used as support of the analysis. In the analysis, the writer found that there was a strong relation between the scene, the historicity, and the critics from the director. The analysis conducted the fact that the director placed some critics in the movie to criticize the US Image. The director criticized US politics, foreign policy, and military Strategies.
