Summary:Introduction: Stunting is a great problem in Indonesia during the last decades.The buzz group is one of discussion methods that provides information concerning stunting prevention by directly involving the mothers. This study aims to analyze the effect of the buzz group method on mother's stunting prevention behavior. Method: This study used quasy-experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. The samples were selected based on the purposive sampling method with the number of samples were 72 respondents, which 36 respondents for each group. The independent variable was buzz group and the dependent variables were knowledge, attitude and practice. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test and Mann-Whitney Test with a significance value of p<0.05. Result: The result of analysis on the knowledge variable using Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test was (p = 0.000) and MannWhitney posttest was (p = 0.019). The analysis on the attitude variable using Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test was (p = 0.001) and Mann-Whitney posttest was (p = 0.001). In addition, the analysis on the practice variable using Wilcoxon Sign Rank. Test was (p = 0.714) on the treatment group and Mann-Whitney posttest was (p = 0.070). Discussion: Health education regarding stunting prevention delivered through the buzz group method could improve knowledge and attitude, but not the practice of the mothers.
