Summary:"Diets problem has an effect to nutritional status in older people, it has truly impact to health condition in older people cause of poor nutrition. Physical condition of older people has function decrease, and then they more susceptible attacked by diseases. The aim of this study was going to know the description of correlation between diets and nutritional status in older people. The study design was cross-sectional study, with samples were older peoples who living in elderly, Surabaya. Sample collected by purposive sampling with count 30 older peoples. The independent variable was diets, whereas dependent variable was nutritional status in older people. Data collected by questionnaire and observation lists then would be analyzed by Spearman rho with significant level p ~ 0,05. The result of study showed that the older people with good diets was 63,3 %, inadequate diets was 6,7 %. More diets 13,3 % and adequate diets was 16,7 %, normal 80,0 % with P = 0,000. The statiscal test result obtained p = 0,000 for diets and nutritional status of older people in elderly, Surabaya. From above description showed appropriateness between a theory and this study, the good diets could influence the health of older people."
