Press is reflection of the society where it is existing. Press presentatjon is jnherent. with culture, cultural change as well as all changes continously occuring in the society concerned. Presentat.ion is press can not be separated from two interrelated. The first social system where the press is. In this position the press is social institution which executes the social mission that is not stripped from other sub social system. The second, the condition of journalist as individuals who carries out press function. D.le to various lacks, press presentation in the printed media frequently arise problems which cause losses. Settlement can be carried out be using right of reply and or through legal action both criminal and civil lawsuit. But the solution of mechanism gets through the law uneffectively. Also the right of reply is considered uneffective. Right of reply must be meant unsolely as right of lost out profesionalism and his work objectivity. So far responsibility on press presentation is printed media has been 'lnclear. Responsibility mechanism with ".,8 terra II"" characteristic has not yet reflected just ice values based on the principle that the doer holds the responsibility. Actually the responsibility has been regulated in the legislation. As a result, settlement on press presentation in printed media has not yet reflected justice and aprreciation of human rights. ;'ett.leD1Cllt should be based on just mechanism by: establishing a special institution where dispute settlement on press responsibilities is implemented, and press is ought to serve as well as possible people's indictments harmfull news sources. Press responsibility should distinctly stick the position of the individu of the newsmaker and be included in the editorial politict which constitutes and integral part of the press missions. Responsibility format based on waterfall concept has to be affirmed by giving qualification who will bear the responsibility. The term ""able to"" should not ben sed as justification by the managing editor to free from his responsibility. On the other hand, the journalist will be prudent to anticipate the potential claim as consequence of the coverage.
