Summary: | Innovative mobile health (mHealth) solutions have proliferated over the past ten years due to improved computer capabilities and mobile technologies, and there have been numerous new research initiatives in the field of technology-based treatments (TBI) for children autism spectrum disorders (ASD). AR systems that make use of portable like smartphones, tablets, or smart glasses, are referred to as augmented reality (AR). The findings of a systematic study conducted in 2010 on the application of AR for acquiring skills relevant to ASD are presented in this article. In addition to offering direction to pertinent designers and researchers, it seeks to shed light on the present status of AR intervention research. Our initial search yielded 625 items from two databases. Over the last decade, advancements in computer and mobile technologies have led to a proliferation of innovative mobile health (mHealth) solutions, and a plethora of new research projects have emerged in the field of technology-based therapies (TBI) for children autism spectrum disorders (ASD). This article presents the results of a comprehensive study on the use of AR for learning abilities related to ASD that was carried out in 2010. Sixty-five entries from two databases were found in our first search. |
