| Summary: | The child with mental retardation is significant subverage functioning existing concurrently with deficits in adaptif behavior and manifested during the developmental period. Family applies concepts and continues activities in home care of child. This research has purpose to identify the correlation role's parent due to independent of child with mental retardation. Type of research is descriptif cross sectional with client in SDLBN Keratoan. Manapura as population. Total samples 30 clients. They choosed by purposive sampling. Statistical result showed Chi-Square Tests X2= 9,525 with df=2 and p=0,009 mean there was parent's role has significant correlation with independent of child with mental retardation. Generally, it's noticed that it's important for child and family are actively involved in infant stimulation program. Family applies concepts and continues activities in home care of child. Child perform activities of daily living at optimum capacity. Family investigated education program. Appropriate limit setting, recreation, and social opportunities are provided. |
