Description
Summary:Subclinical mastitis did not show any sign, neither on the udder or the milk composition, but it might cause decrease of milk production. Teat dipping could be used to prevent subclinical mastitis. Noni (Morinda citrifolia L ) had antibacterial agent, and because of that this research was done using the extract of noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) as an active compound in teat dipping to decrease catalase test and reductase test in subclinical mastitis dairy cattle. This research used 27 udders which were tested with CMT and showed result of positive subclinical mastitis (Plus1, plus2, dan plus3). The counting of catalase number and reductase time was done before and after treatment. Treatment was done by teat dipping the udders with noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) extract, with different concentration: 25, 50, and 75 percent (each concentration for 9 udders). The result of this research, analyzed with t-test two tailed and Wilcoxon test, showed that at concentration 25, 50, and 75 percent of the treatment there were significant decrease of catalase number and reductase time before and after treatment.
