Summary: | Evaluation of detection of the IgG in human suggests that this test is rapid, simple, accurate, relatively inexpensive and suitable for use under field conditions. A gold immunochromatographic test using crude of Excretory and Secretory Antigens (ESAs) for detection of IgG against Toxoplasma gondii was developed. The study was a laboratory experimental. Data were analyzed statistically using Chi-Square with significance level of more than 0,05 (> 0,05). Forty nine collected samples from Laboratorium Kedung Doro Surabaya were analyzed by GICA, and the result was compared with ELISA. Analysis of the samples by ELISA indicated that thirty-two serum sample were positive and seventeen serum sample were negative Mean while, analysis of the samples by GICA showed that thirty- five serum sample were positive and fourteen serum sample were negative that examined by GICA. The relative sensitivity and spesificity of GICA were 100% and 82,4% when ELISA was used as reference. Statistical analysis by Chi-Square showed significant differences between ELISA and GICA. |
