There is a maduresse culture in giving weaning food before infant is 6 months old. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors of giving weaning food 0-6 months based on transcultural nursing theory. Design used was descriptive with cross-sectional approach. Population was madurese mothers with the infants of 0-6 months who has been given weaning food. 61 sample respondents were chosen by cluster sampling method. Variables in this study were educational, economic, political and legal, cultural values and life ways, kinship and social, religious and philosophical, and technology. Data were collected by using structured interview and described by using frequency and percentage distribution. The results showed educational mostly were primary education and middle education (each of them is 43%). Economic mostly low (70%). Political and legal mostly positive (54%). Cultural values and life ways mostly negative (62%). Kinship and social mostly negative (64%). Religious and philosophical mostly positive (56%). Technology mostly low (56%). The factors in transcultural nursing theory shows percentage diverse such as positive and negative value.
