Examination of the left eye revealed: visual acuity was 6/6, intraocular pressure was nomal palpation, anterior se*runt
was proptosis, the other wu within normal limit. Ocular motility showed mild restriclion on both eyes. There was no strabhmus.
Emmimtion of thefundus revealed: Fundal Rellexwu posilive, sharp mrgin optic disc with norul colour, no retimlhamorrhage,
no bxudate, mcular reflex was positive. CT-scan emmination reyealed intemum lrydrocephalus, and there was no retrobulber mss.
MRI emmimtion reyealed bilaterally aophthalmos, relatively ventriculomegaly caused by skull anonuly (orycephaly). Ptoptosis in
this patient was caused by shallow orbits in crouzon syndromes. Radiological examination results a features showed patients with
Crouzon syndrome. Crouzon syndrome is an exwnple of such a syndrome that is associated with premoture synostosis of the sutures
of the skull, exophthalmos, head, orbit and jaw deformities. |
