Summary: | The aim of this research is to know about the potential of meniran plant (Phyllanthus Fraternus) as a supplement in albino mice feed and to monitor the growth rate. Thirty male albino mice aged 8 weeks were feed with different concentration of meniran and are grouped into five treatments and six replications. P0 had no meniran powder; P1, P2, P3 and P4 were treated with 0.5%, 1%, 1.5% and 2% meniran powder respectively for 29 days. The weight of the mice was measured every week and the blood sample was collected to test for SGPT and SGOT. Data was analysed with Analysis of Variance (Anova). The result showed that meniran has no effect on the weight gain of albino mice. It also proves that meniran is not significantly different for the SGPT and SGOT and the test result was in normal range value |
