Description
Summary:The aim of this study was to detect the sensitivity of some types of antibiotics that can be used for the treatment of endometritis. This study used 11 swab samples from canal servicalis of sows which suffered from endometritis with symptoms like recurrent mating and examined through Ultrasonography (USG) test. Result of identification tests showed that the bacteria were Escheriachia coli from nine samples, Streptococcus β haemolyticus from three samples, and Enterobacter cloacae from one sample. Antibiotics for this study were ampicillin, gentamicin, ciprofloxacin, tetracycline, and metronidazole. The sensitivity test showed that Escheriachia coli and Enterobacter cloacae were sensitive 100% to ciprofloxacin and gentamicin, Streptococcus β haemolyticus were sensitive 100% to ampicillin, and all bacteria were resistant to tetracycline and metronidazole.
