Summary: | The aim of this study was to produce an attenuated strain of Elmeriatenella by the serial precocious lines. This
study used the number of schizont and histopathology scores for signs that the E. tenella had been attenuated. Three parts
series has occurred in 24 broilers with eight male chicken each passage. First part used E. tenella parent lines, the second
part of the precocious lines used E. tenella of the first part, then the third part of the precocious line E. tenella used of the
second part. The sample used was a male chicken caecum. Orientation of cecal histopathology was examined by
Hematoxylin eosin staining. Calculation schizont and histopathological scoring were examined under a microscope with magnification 400-l000x. The results showed there was significantly different (P <0.05) in the number schizont between the first, second and third passage. On histopathological scoring showed significantly differences (P <0.05) between the first, second, and third passage.
