Summary: | This research aimed to determining the potential of oil
fraction rhizome (Kaempferia galangal L) as muscle relaxant on
skeletal muscle of mice. Mice were divided into 5 groups :
positive control, three test group with different dosage levels,
and negative control groups. For the negative control group
used CMC-Na with levels of 5 % . For the test group used a
dose of 1 kencur oil fraction with a dose of 4.02 mg / 20 g BB
mice , 8.04 mg / 20 g BB mice to doses of 2 , and 16.09 mg / 20
g BB mice to doses of 3, while for Diazepam is used positive
control group at a dose of 0.5408 mg / 20 g BB mice. From the
Post Hoc LSD test results can be seen that there are significant
differences between negative control group to test group dose of
1, 2 and 3 are marked with significance values less than 0.05.
On test group dose 3 to positive control showing significance
value of 0.066 (p> 0.05), which showed no significant
difference. This showed a dose of 3 (oil fractions kencur 16.09
mg / 20 g BB of mice) has a potential that is almost comparable
to the positive control (diazepam 0.5408 mg / 20 g BB of mice)
in a muscle relaxant activity.
