Description
Summary:The Objective of this study was to know the relations of maintenance management with prevalence and degree infection of nematodosis on calf of dairy cattle at technical and operational units of livestock breeding and forage fodder (UPT PT and HMT) Batu city. Faecal samples were collected from 36 calves. This research used a native, sedimentation and flotation method, at Departement Veterinary of Parasitology Airlangga University. This research proves that from 36 calves faecal in UPT PT and HMT Batu city, as much as 14 were positive of nematodosis worm eggs as Bunostomum spp. and Oesophagostomum spp. Prevalence were calculated by dividing of positive samples from the total samples examined then multiplied by 100%. The result showed that prevalence of nematodosis in UPT PT and HMT Batu city as much as 38,8%. Then, EPG was applied to count the number of worm eggs per gram of faeces. Eventually, there was 14 positive samples from 36 samples which is in the range of 0-130 grains per gram of faeces and it was categorised as a mild infection. The prevalence of the type of nematode worms that infects influenced by anthelmintics drugs and stable management.
