EFEK EKSTRAK Spirulina platensis TERHADAP GAMBARAN HISTOPATOLOGI HEPAR TIKUS PUTIH ( Rattus Norvegicus ) JANTAN DALAM KEADAAN STRESS OXIDATIF

The objective of this research is to identify the effect of Spirulina platensis extract to histopatology description of white male rats (Rattus norvegicus) in oxidative stress with swimming in 1 hour for 35 days. This research uses 20 twomonth- old white male rats with 150 – 200 gram in average....

Description
Summary:The objective of this research is to identify the effect of Spirulina platensis extract to histopatology description of white male rats (Rattus norvegicus) in oxidative stress with swimming in 1 hour for 35 days. This research uses 20 twomonth- old white male rats with 150 – 200 gram in average. Those rats are divided into 5 groups: (1) negative control group which is given 1 % Na-CMC, (2) positive control group which is treated swimming for an hour in 28 days, (3) first treatment (P1) group which is given 300 mg/kg BW Spirulina platensis then they swim for an hour, (4) second treatment group (P2) which is given 600 mg/kg BW Spirulina platensis then they swim for an hour, (5) third treatment group (P3) which is given 1200 mg/kg BW Spirulina platensis then they swim for an hour. In the end of the experiment, all rats are euthanized and their livers are taken for scoring. This research result shows that Spirulina platensis extract can improve white male rats liver histopatology in oxidative stress. These result show that Spirulina platensis extract could provide a significant protection from stress oksidative with 300 mg/ kg body weight, per oral.
