Description
Summary:The pomegranate peel has many medicinal nutritional health benefits because of its substances that help for therapeutic purposes. Based on the researches that pomegranate peel has bioactive substances such as alkaloid, flavonoid and tannin which have the ability as antifungal. The aims of this research were to evaluate the in vitro activity of the influence of concentration on pomegranate peel tablet against Candida albicans and determine the concentrations potential of pomegranate peel tablet against Candida albicans. This study was a laboratory experimental with 6 treatments namely a solution of pomegranate peel tablets (4 types concentrations were used namely 10%, 20%, 40% and 80%), honey and control used such as Ketoconazole. The antimicrobial assay was performed agar diffusion methode with paper discs. Data analysis was done by Anova and followed by DMRT test with a confidence level of 5%. The results of the experiment showed that at a concentration of 10% and 20% provided the same antifungi effects. At a concentration of 10% to 40% were classified as having the inhibition of fungal growth response in the criteria for evaluation of infectious agent as intermediate. While the pomegranate peel tablets at a concentration of 80% was in the criteria for evaluation of infectious agent as susceptible.
