Description
Summary:This objective of the research are to isolate, identify, and observe resintency of Escherichia coli to non beta lactam antibiotic which isolated from chicken meats in four Surabaya markets. Chicken meat samples were taken from four Surabaya markets as much as 20 samples. Resistance test of Escherichia coli were using Kirby Bauer methodes. Based on the results of isolation and identification of 20 samples obtained, 20 isolates were positive to Escherichia coli it means this chicken meat were 100% contaminated with Escherichia coli. Based on sensitivity test showed all the chicken meat samples positive isolates were resistance to Tetracyclin, Kanamycin, Eritromycin, Sulfonamides antibiotic. It can be said isolated Escherichia coli were 100% resistance. It proved that the samples of chicken meat contained Escherichia coli bacteria that were resistant to Tetracyclin, Kanamycin, Eritromycin, and Sulfonamides antibiotics.
