Summary: | The purposed of the research was to know prevalence and complete blood profile of local chicken that infected by Leucocytozoon in Gresik district. Fifty samples from female local chickens in chicken farm and chicken slaughterhouse in Gresik were examined for Leucocytozoon infection. Complete blood profile was examined from both infected and uninfected. Data obtained from this study was analyzed by One Way ANOVA. The results of the examination showed there are two species of Leucocytozoon in infected samples. The two species are L. sabrazesi and L. caulleryi. The prevalence of L. sabrazesi’s infection is 4% and prevalence of L. caulleryi’s infection is 6%. The result of One Way ANOVA showed that there is significant difference (p>0,05) was observed on lymphocyte and monocyte between infected by L. sabrazesi and uninfected. Significant difference (p<0,05) was observed between infected by L. caulleryi and uninfected. The result from differential counting of leukocyte in sampel that infected by Leucocytozoon showed that lymphocyte and monocyte higher than normal. Sample that infected by Leucocytozoon have lymphocytosis and monocytosis. |
