Summary:Introduction: Recently many mothers work due to family role change. Working mothers entrusted their children at daycare. Caregivers in daycare have role to fulfill basic needs (stimulation, love, care) of children. The fulfillment of basic needs plays an important role in the achievement of child development, including personal social development. Children in TPA Cayaha Tazkia and TPA Cemerlang 5 of 10 have suspect personal social development. This study aimed to analyze relationship between basic needs (stimulation, love, care) fulfillment by caregiver and under-five children’s personal social development in daycare. Methods: This study was cross sectional research. The population were all caregivers and under-five years old children in TPA Cahaya Tazkia and TPA Cemerlang Surabaya. Sample of this study were 32 children and 9 caregivers acquired by purposive sampling. Data colected by using questionnaire of basic needs (stimulation, love, care) fulfillment by caregiver and DDST Denver II. Spearman rank correlation test was used to analyze data with α=0.05. Results: There were significant and strong enough correlation between basic needs (stimulation, love, care) fulfillment by caregiver and under-five children’s personal social development in daycare (p value=0.001 r=0.553). Discussion: If caregiver provides good basic needs fulfillment then personal social development of children will be good. Further studies should involve larger respondents and identify another factors of personal social development in children.
