Summary:Background: Castration is the act of appointment or removal function male sex gland. Castration can be done by surgery (oridektomi bilateral) and by medically with LHRH agonists. But these methods have a deficiency therefore currently required method of castration is effective, cheap and low psychological effect. Castration method is by injection alcohol into intratesticular. Method: This type of research is a kind of laboratory experimental research, by providing treatment in the experimental group and compared with a control group without treatment.In this research is divided into 3 groups: control group without treatment, the injection group 70% alcohol, 96% alcohol injection group. In each group have 8 rats. Reuslt: The results of observations of testicular histopathologically with see necrosis or not in the Leydig cells.In the control group without treatment results of obervation Leydig cells normally no necrosis, in the group injection of 70% alcohol Leydig cells inflammation but no necrosis, in the group injection 96% alcohol Leydig cells occurs necrosis. Different test performed by Chi square test, showed no significant difference in the comparison of the control group without treatment with 96% alcohol injection group (p = 0.0001), while in comparison with the control group without treatment group 70% alcohol injection statistical calculations can not be because there was no variation. Conclusion: Alcohol can to be alternative of castration especially alcohol 96%
