Number of new HIV-infected patients admitted to UPIPI RSUD Dr. Soetomo Surabaya in 2014 was 1,137 patients, and slightly decreased in 2015 to 1,038 patients. Dr. Soetomo Hospital Surabaya is a tertiary referral center for hospitals in eastern Indonesia. The profile of HIV patients in the hospital needs to be assessed to get an overview of the demographic factors in HIV. Specifically, this study examined the profile of outpatient HIV patients in UPIPI RSUD Dr.Soetomo. Hopefully better service planning and preventive measures against HIV infection in the wider community can be maximized. Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine demographic factors and clinical stages based on WHO of HIV patients. Method: The method used in this research was a retrospective research method using observational by cross sectional approach. The population in this study was patients who have taken ART in February 2017 at Poli Rawat Jalan UPIPI Dr. Soetomo General Hospital Surabaya. The sample size was 130. The instrument of research was secondary data in the form of medical records.
