Summary: | This research describes the sugarcane farmer of Kepuhrejo Village, a
partnership relation between Modjopanggoong sugar factory, sugar cane farmer
and Kepuhrejo Village government and social conflict on partnership relation.
The method used in this study is a historical method that includes five stages of
theme selection, heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The data
used consisted of various government and Modjopanggoong sugar mill companies
archives, previous researches and newspapers. Another source used is interviews
in particular to see the impact of conflict on the community. Many Kepuhrejo
residents became sugar cane farmers during the New Order era. Sugarcane farmer
Kepuhrejo has a partnership relation with the Modjopanggoong sugar factory
through an intermediary of village and village government cooperatives. The
partnership relation is not working properly hence it caused some social conflict.
The social conflict that occurred in Kepuhrejo involved local village leader,
farmers and the member of the village cooperative, the village chief took the
money from the harvest of sugar cane but he blamed others for covering his case.
This conflict is known as the conflict of TRIS 1 Kepuhrejo. Due to this conflict
cousing disrupted social life, the people were no longer trusted their village
leader. |
