Description
Summary:Heart disease becomes one of the most dangerous killers in the world. One of the abnormalities of the heart is the heart murmur. This study aims to build a phonocardiograph (PCG) -based smartphone that aims as a tool for early detection of heart murmurs. In this research an android application is created that is able to acquire voice signal data in the form of sound chart and then processed with Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) function to convert the heart sound signal into frequency domain to make it easier to do the heart murmur detection. This android application is built using Android Studio program on PC. To test the android application that created, we compare DFT results between Android applications that created with DFT in Matlab Software on PC. In testing on five subjects with two people who have heart abnormalities and three normal people. From this test can be summarized in outline, the DFT graph of the android application that created is already able to represent heart sound signals and its murmur. On two subjects who have heart abnormalities the murmur signals can be seen in the application, whereas in three normal subjects, two of them are indicated normal when viewed from the graphic results in the application, but at one other subject we still seen a heart murmur signal. This may be due to differences in quality when the data is influenced by the surrounding environment conditions and other noises.
