The total of 30 male rats wistar strain are divided into 6 groups. The negative control group K (-) was induced with aquadest and 1% CMC-Na during the therapy period. the positive control group K (+) induced with alloxan dose 120 mg / kg BW and CMC-Na 1%. the drug treatment group P (O) induced with alloxan and oral therapy with metformin 12.6 mg / 250g BW / day, treatment group 1 (P1) was given with alloxan and oral therapy with kersen leaf extract 250 mg / kg BW, treatment group 2 (P2) was given with alloxan therapy and orally with cherry leaf extract of 500 / kg BW, and treatment group 3 (P3) were given with alloxan therapy and orally with cherry leaf extract of 1,000 mg / kg BW. The therapy were given for 14 days, all rats were sacrificed and serum MDA levels were examined by thiobarbituricacid (TBA) method.
