Summary: | The purpose of this research was to found the antibacterial potency of Sapindus rarak DC extract to Staphylococcus aureus according to the clear zone around sumuran based on diffusion method. This research used complete randomized design factorial. P-as the negative control which was given CMC-Na1%, P+1 which was given Chlorhexidine Gluconate and P+2 given with Betadine, P1 which was given Sapindus rarak DC extract 5 gr and CMC-Na 1% solution 20 ml (25%) ,P2 which was given Sapindus rarak DC extract 10 gr and CMC-Na1% solution 20 ml (50%), P3 which was given Sapindus rarak DC extract 15 gr and CMC-Na 1% solution 20 ml (75%), P4 which was given Sapindus rarak DC extract 20 grand CMC-Na 1% solution 20 ml (100%). The result showed that the average diameter of clear zone on P-; P+1; P+2; P1; P2; P3; and P4 respectively were 5,00; 25,40;13,60;14,00;15,20; 16,0 ;17,20. Based on the research result,it could be concluded that Sapindus rarak DC extract has antibacterial potency to Staphylococcus aureus. Minimum concentration of Sapindus rarak DC extract which has antibacterial potency to Staphylococcus aureus was 25%. |
