Summary: | The purpose of this research was to know the growth model of Mojosari
duck’s thymus organs. The total sample used in this study was 30 Mojosari
ducksfrom DOD untill 28 weeks age. The variables observed were weight of
thymus, wide cortex and medulla of thymus, as well as cell density of Mojosari
duck’s thymus. All data were processed usingsoftware Image-J and analyzed
using quadratic non-linear regression analysis to find growth model of Mojasari
duck’s thymus and statistical analysis using ANOVA. The results of this research
showed that weight of the thymus organs are increase from DOD and reach the
highest weight at the age of 10 weeks, then decrease at the next age untill 28
weeks, and formed a quadratic regression nonlinear growth model. Cortex and
Medulla of the thymus increase from DOD age and reach the maximum area at
age 12 weeks than the area is decrease in later age and formed a growth model
quadratic regression nonlinear. The density of Mojosari duck thymus showed that
the maximum cell density occured at DOD age and then continuously decrease
and shows a growth model quadratic regression nonlinear. This research showed
that thymus weight, cortex and medulla area, as well as thymus cell density can be
used to see the growth model of the organs of the Mojosari duck thymus using
Image-J software. |
