Description
Summary:The purpose of this research is to determine the kind of nematodes which infected colon of cattle slaughtered at RPH Pegirian Surabaya using gastrointestinal surgery method. Twenty five samples of colon were collected from RPH Pegirian from September - October 2018 then using gastrointestinal surgery to get fresh adult worm, afterwards using Semichen-Acetic Carmine staining method to makes the object easy to identify microscopic. The result showed that species was found on cattle named Oesophagostomum radiatum, as an identify result show that adult worm has a character on an anterior part called cervical papillae, cephalic vesicle, cervical alae. Posterior part of male worm has a bursa copulatrix with a couple spicula. Female worm has a sharpen tail and a vulva flap through on anterior anus. Eight positive, 32% samples was infected with Oesophagustomum radiatum and also seventeen, 68% negative samples. There were type of cattle that infected on the identification of Oesophagustomum radiatum are 4 Madura cattle, 2 Balinese cattle and 2 Peranakan Ongole (PO).
