This study aims to appraise the resilience capacity of the community at household level after a fire disaster in Kampung Keputih Tegal Timur Baru Surabaya. This research is an observational study with descriptive research design using a cross sectional study approach. The data used is primary data from interviews with a questionnaire at 10 households. Data and information were analyzed descriptively which were presented in the final form of narratives and spider diagram images with Community Based Resilience Analysis (CoBRA) concept which showed resilience capacity of the community. The results showed that community resilience capacity was high on natural resilience and physical resilience. Human resilience capacity has moderate resilience. But community resilience capacity is low on financial resilience and social resilience. The community are expected to get to know and improve the resilience capacity of their households. Such as building a legal and permanent residence, or submitting a request to live in a rented apartment owned by the Surabaya City government, to avoid illegal and non-permanent buildings that are vulnerable to fire.
