UJI DAYA HAMBAT EKSTRAK METANOL DAUN SUKUN (Artocarpus altilis) TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN JAMUR Aspergillus fumigatus SECARA In Vitro

This study aims to determine the antifungal activity of breadfruit leaves (Artocarpus altilis) methanol extract on Aspergillus fumigatus growth. Aspergillus fumigatus is a fungus that cause the range of pathological condition with invasive pulmonary aspergillosis. Antifungal activity was tested on a...

Description
Summary:This study aims to determine the antifungal activity of breadfruit leaves (Artocarpus altilis) methanol extract on Aspergillus fumigatus growth. Aspergillus fumigatus is a fungus that cause the range of pathological condition with invasive pulmonary aspergillosis. Antifungal activity was tested on agar well method for 2 days at room temperature. The results of the inhibition zone data was analyzed using ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) test and followed by Duncan test (p <0.05). The result of inhibition zone from negative control (K-) used DMSO was 0,00a + 0,00 and positive control (K+) using itraconazole 2 μg/ml was 10,32c + 1,62. The result of concentration 1 (P1) using methanol extract of breadfruit leaves 20% was 5,62b + 2,54, concentration 2 (P2) using methanol extract of breadfruit leaves 30% was 6,02b + 1,25, concentration 3 (P3) using methanol extract of breadfruit leaves 40% was 6,67b + 1,21, and concentration 4 (P4) using methanol extract of breadfruit leaves 50% was 4,00b + 2,57. This result showed that methanol extract of breadfruit leaves (Artocarpus altilis) have antifungal activity against Aspergillus fumigatus growth with Minimal Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) 20%.
