Summary: | The aim of this study was to determine the effect of barnacle meal
(Cirripedia sp.) as a substitution feed from fish meal on rabbit feed, as observed
from the high of jejunal villi and the weight of rex rabbit male digestive organs.
Rabbits were placed on individual cages with feed that had been adjusted to their
needs, with the percentage substitution of barnacle flour in each group's feed as
much as 0%, 2,5%, 5%, 7,5%. The treatment was given for 28 days, data was
collected after sacrifice at 28 days of maintenance. Small intestine of rabbits were
collected and weighing the digestive organs including the stomach, small intestine
and large intestine. This study used a completely randomized design with 4
treatments and 5 replications in each treatment.The results of the research were
analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) with a significance level of 0.05.
Based on the results of the analysis showed that there were no significant
differences (p>0.05) on the height of jejunal villi. The results showed no
significant difference (p>0,05) in stomach weight. The results showed no
significant difference (p>0,05) in small intestine weight. The results showed no
significant difference (p>0,05) in large intestine weight. Barnacle meal can be
used as a feed for fish meal substitution in complete feed for rex type rabbit up to
7.5%. |
