PENGARUH VAKSINASI OUTER MEMBRANE PROTEIN 52 kDa Aeromonas hydrophila TERHADAP PERUBAHAN INDEKS ERITROSIT IKAN NILA (Oreochromis niloticus) YANG DI TANTANG Aeromonas hydrophila

The aim of this research was to determine the effect after being vaccinated by OMP 52 kDa Aeromonas hydrophila for 1 week then infected with Aeromonas hydrophila 107 CFU/mL for 4 days toward the changes of erythrocytes index. The nile tilapia fish (Oreochromis niloticus) that used in this research i...

Description
Summary:The aim of this research was to determine the effect after being vaccinated by OMP 52 kDa Aeromonas hydrophila for 1 week then infected with Aeromonas hydrophila 107 CFU/mL for 4 days toward the changes of erythrocytes index. The nile tilapia fish (Oreochromis niloticus) that used in this research is 10-12 cm in length. There were 20 tilapia fish (Oreochromis niloticus) that divided into 4 groups, consist of 2 control and 2 treatment groups given with different types of vaccine formulation. Group P0(-) (not vaccinated and infected), Group P0(+)(not vaccinated and infected), group P1 (vaccinated with whole cell protein ”HydroVac®” and infected), and P2 (vaccinated with outer membrane protein 52 kDa and infected) by intramuscular injection. Post treatment blood sample were collected at day 5th post infection, it was collected via caudal punctie then analyzed using haematology analyzer. The post treatment result lead statistically significant changes (p < 0.05). Therefore, the vaccine did cause significant change towards erythrocytes index.
