Summary: | The aim of this study to determine the effect of differences in concentration of anting-anting (Acalypha indica L.) leaves ethanol extract gel on the physical characteristics and the effectiveness of wound healing in mice (Mus musculus). The research method is divided into 2; the physical characteristic test and the effectiveness test of wound healing. The physical characteristic test of the gel was made by formula F1 (base gel without the addition of extracts), F2, F3 and F4 (gel formula with anting-anting (Acalypha indica L.) leaves extract respectively 2.5%, 5% and 10%). The effectiveness test of wound healing is divided into 5 groups namely P0 (control group), P1 (given gel base), P2. P3 and P4 (therapy with ethanol extract gel respectively 2.5%, 5% and 10%). Results showed that the difference in concentration of the anting-anting (Acalypha indica L.) leaves ethanol extract gel affects the physical characteristic: the higher extract dose in the (F4) resulting in increased coverage and pH decreasing. In the effectiveness test of wound healing seen in macroscopic, therapy of the 5% anting-anting leaves extract gel (P3) showed good results seen from the inflammation indicators and reduction in the length of wounds observed on the 0, 7th, and 14th days compared to the control group (P0). On microscopic observation, the best result are demonstrated by P3 that can be seen based on collagen deposition and P4 on epithelization. |
