Summary:The research has done to determine the effects of degree acidity (pH) and temperature in artificial saliva solution to the braces is used by braces wearers. The purpose of this research to study the effect of saliva (spit) on the external and internal structure change to the NiTi and Stainless Steel braces, studied the level of external and internal structure change due to variations degree acidity (pH) and temperatures in artificial saliva solution. As an observation tool to use the results test of the digital optic microscope instrument for surface inspection and digital xray microradiography for internal inspection. Tests carried out on NiTi and Stainless Steel that has been immersed in artificial saliva solution with variations in temperature and degree acidity (pH) value specified. After that the observed to the external and the internal structure change with used the digital optical microscopy and digital x-ray microradiography. The result showed that the effects of artificial saliva to the external and the internal structure change to the NiTi and Stainless Steel braces suggests that the solution of saliva on the temperature and the degree of acidity lower is likely to cause change of the surface of the braces. It is shown from the results of braces object images are then analyzed visually, the histogram and also the physical information.
