Reality, the number of critical watersheds from year to year has increased and well-being of communities around the watershed is still low. Based on biophysical and socio-economic aspects, Serang Watershed including priority watershed in Indonesia. Soil erosion is one of the causes of degraded land and land productivity decline in the uplands. High demand for agricultural land and land use that is incompatible with the ability to accelerate erosion. The purpose of this study were (1) know the magnitude of erosion in the Serang Watershed, (2) formulate the optimal allocation of land use for erosion control by considering the demand of agricultural land and land capability Direction of optimal land use in this study are based on land capability and minimum requirement for agricultural land which is intended to control erosion. Land capability classification is based on inhibiting factors, the minimum requirement of agricultural land obtained from the analysis of agricultural land farming, and erosion prediction using the USLE. Determination of optimal allocation using linear programming methods. The results showed that the actual total erosion in the Serang Watershed is 407.427,78 tons / year, whereas total erosion is allowed to 362.573,31 tons /year. Based on the results of optimal allocation land use of 4095.34 ha irrigated, rainfed (non irrigated) of 522,66 ha, 1.878,28 ha are settlement, dry land of 3.956 ha, orchard mix of 9.535,73, forest area of 1.187,1 ha and 555,77 ha of water bodies. Erosion results from the direction of optimal land use of 316.571,3 tons /year or less 90.856,48 tons /year (22.3%) than actual erosion.
