Summary: | Alliance is not acquisition and divestment, and corporate does the alliance because
of its limited resources. In doing so, the company can be more competent and sustainable
in its business, and be able to compete in an increasingly competitive business
environment. Strategic alliance portfolio extensiveness are directly affected by
entrepreneurship orientation with dimensions are: innovativeness, proactiveness and risk
taking. This relation is further more strengthened by moderated social embeddedness that
consists of a dimension of social cohesion and self-realization. This kind of research has
not yet been done both in Yogyakarta and on the national level.
Data were collected by using survey and questionnaire. Respondents in this study
are the owner or manager of a medium-scale enterprise who are expected to know
precisely all these processes. The obtained data is the perception of the owner or manager
of Medium Enterprises. For testing the hypothesis, this study uses a simple regression
analysis and hierarchical regression. Research finding showed that all these hypotheses are
supported, moreover it is found on the type of manufacturing/production has a level of
entrepreneurial orientation and social embeddedness affect strategic alliance portfolio
extensiveness is relatively higher than the company engaged in the service sector. |
