總結:The phenomenon of turnover intention becomes the focus of research due to the fact that percentage of turnover of life insurance salesman was always high. The study aimed to examine the effect of job insecurity towards turnover intention moderated by locus of control. The research population was salesman of Asuransi Jiwa Bersama Bumiputera 1912 branch of the Kota Baru, Yogyakarta. The research involved 69 life insurance agents that taken using a convenience sampling technique. The research design was a quantitative research study, in which all the variable data obtained through three scales adapted from previous related research, i.e. turnover intention scale, job insecurity scale, and locus of control scale. The research data was analyzed by using moderated regression analysis (MRA) in the software program SPSS version 18.0 for windows. The research results found the effect of job insecurity towards turnover intention moderated by locus of control salesman is significant through the different influence of job insecurity on turnover intention between internal locus of control and external locus of control. Key words: turnover intention, job insecurity, locus of control Fenomena turnover intention menjadi fokus penelitian dikarenakan persentase turnover salesman dalam organisasi asuransi jiwa selalu tinggi. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji apakah pengaruh job insecurity terhadap turnover intention dimoderasi locus of control. Populasi penelitian adalah salesman Asuransi Jiwa Bersama Bumiputera 1912 cabang Kota Baru, Yogyakarta. Besar sampel penelitian 69 agen asuransi jiwa yang ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Desain penelitian adalah penelitian kuantitatif di mana seluruh data variabel penelitian diperoleh melalui tiga skala yang diadaptasi dari penelitian yang berkaitan sebelumnya, yaitu skala turnover intention, skala job insecurity, dan skala locus of control. Data penelitian dianalisa dengan menggunakan uji moderated regression analysis (MRA) dalam program software SPSS versi 18.0 for windows. Hasil analisa data penelitian menemukan pengaruh job insecurity terhadap turnover intention dimoderasi locus of control salesman secara signifikan melalui adanya perbedaan pengaruh job insecurity terhadap turnover intention antara internal locus of control dan external locus of control.
