The research (Ide Demokrasi dalam Komunisme Tan Malaka, The Notion of Democracy in Tan Malaka�s Communism) elaborates the urgent of the essence of democracy in Tan Malaka�s communism (radical egalitarianistic participation in making decision, its realization, and in supervising the realization of the decision) and its affirmation among unserious catastrophes caused by current liberal theory and practice of democracy. The objective is to understand what Ide Demokrasi dalam Komunisme Tan Malaka looks like. Datas are collected through the archives, while Hermeneutic is used to analyze the datas. The conclusions are (1) the multi-culturalistic birth of Indonesia has been initiating the growth of liberal democracy [the existence of political institutions (MPR, DPR, DPA, MA, Parpol, Pemilu, etc.) does not mean there is ongoing economic democratization]. Liberal Democracy produces soft authoritarianistic democracy [politically seems to be democratic, many political institutions are in presence, but economic democratization is absent] already. This mystification can get worst. It will produce the darkest age called totalitarianistic democracy which rob the democratic substance of the democratic subject even without being realized by the subject itself. Democratic imperialism is running perfectly when it is internalized as not imperialism
