Summary: | This study aimed to unveil the institutional aspects that affect an organization in
implementing electronic services (e-services). This study used qualitative research
methods with interpretive single case study research strategy. The findings of this study
were: (1) the type of institutional pressures (normative/mimetic/coercive) that surround
the organization and how the business impact of these pressures determines the
response/action isomorphism organization, (2) the organization used its institutional
logic to perform isomorphism and the result of it was the decision to develop an eservice
as one of the measures to overcome existing institutional pressures. This study
also proposed an analytical framework that could be used by any organizations to
identify several institutional aspects which related to the implementation of e-services,
as well as to determine such responses to these pressures with appropriate
isomorphism. |
