Cow's milk as the first foreign proteins for the baby is expected as a prognostic factor of atopic dermatitis. Objective.Prooving exposure to cow's milk as a prognostic factor of atopic dermatitis in the first three months of life Methods.Observational analytic cohort design, the subject was newborn from 1 April 2012 until August 30, 2012 in Denpasar Sanglah Hospital 138 subjects. Subjects were divided into 2 groups exposed to cow's milk (68 people) and not exposed to cow's milk (68 people) were followed for 3 months. Prognostic variables were analyzed, namely exposure to cow's milk, birth weight, sex, gestational age at birth, exposure to cigarette smoke, a history of atopy in the mother, the father's history of atopy, history of atopy in both parents and early solid feeding. Cumulative incidence rate and the incidence rate in each group was calculated. All variables that showed Kaplan Meier curve that did not cross, examined by the analysis of Cox's proportional hazard function. Significance with hazard ratio (HR) and 95% confidence intervals. Statistical analysis was performed with SPSS version 20. Results. Subjects who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria (138 subjects) was analyzed. Cumulative incidence was 17.1% and 8.8% respectively. Incidence rate was 54.5% and 66.7% respectively. After multivariate analysis, exposure to cow's milk was not significant as a prognostic factor of atopic (HR 1,94 [Yogyakarta] : Universitas Gadjah Mada 2013 Thesis NonPeerReviewed , Putu Ayu Widyanti and , dr.Endy Paryanto, MPH, Sp.A(K) (2013) PAPARAN SUSU SAPI SEBAGAI FAKTOR PROGNOSTIK DERMATITIS ATOPIK DALAM TIGA BULAN PERTAMA KEHIDUPAN.
