Representation of the 3D objects in 3D Cadastre is an important aspect. In realizing the representation of 3D objects, the construction of 3D spatial database requires special attention. There are two approaches for building database structures to represent 3D spatial objects, namely geometry structure and topology structure. The fundamental difference between the two structures is on their storage methods. The storage of spatial data with topology structures does not contain redundant objects. This research is aimed at building 3D spatial databases of geometry structure and topology structure with 2.5D approach that provides information about the ability of both database structures to support spatial query and its implementation on a real cadastre case. The data used in this research are 3D models of Simpanglima Semarang Rusun Plasa that came from field measurements and attributes data collection. The constructed 3D models were edited to get a wireframe model of Simpanglima Semarang Rusun Plasa. The wireframe model was converted into geometry based structure and topology based structure and then stored by using PostgreSQL 9.1 software and PostGIS 2.0.1 extension. After the database of the geometry structure and topology structure were built, identification process was performed on the two databases using topological operations through spatial queries. In addition, data analysis using real cases cadastre was done to determine the ability of cronstructed databases in solving real world cases of 3D cadastre. Comparative result of spatial query between the geometry-based structure and topology-based structure is presented in a graphical image that shows the execution time of spatial operation in milliseconds. The result of spatial operation using topology queries shows that the database of topological structure executes queries two times faster than geometry structure by using operator equals, disjoint, touches, intersects, and overlaps, while by using operator within and contains topology structure executes twenty one times faster. For the crosses operator, the database of geometry structure executes spatial query faster than the database of topology structure. Then the result of the analysis using real 3D cadastre cases shows that topology-based data structure is only able to provide information related to space relationships in the case of adjacent room objects at first floor of Simpanglima Rusun Plasa and land border areas.
