Description
Summary:It means M-Library is an implementation of mobile technology in the library. The use of M-Library has not been popular in Indonesia, even in most countries of Southeast Asia. One important factor in the adoption or use of information technology, including M-Library here is behavioral intention to use or to adopt the technology. Technology Acceptance Model 2 is one of the well known theories in behavioral intentions to use or to adopt the technology. According to TAM 2, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and subjective norms are variables that affect behavioral intentions to use or adopt the information technology. The focus of this study is to examine the variables that exist in the TAM 2’s model by adding two variables; those are mobility and use situation / context. Mobility and use situation/context are believed to influence behavioral intentions to use or to adopt the mobile technology. My study’s samples are 335 students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada. The research’s model and hypotheses are investigated by analysis of Structural Equation Model (SEM). This study was successfully demonstrated that the research’s model was fit. This study finds that five of the eight hypotheses are proven at the level of significance of 0.05, 0.01, and 0.001. The results showed that the variables of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and mobility are the variables that have positive direct impacts on behavioral intentions to use M-Library. that the intentions to use M-library will be affected by the extent to which can increase productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of its users. In addition, the use of M-library should also avoid the users from more efforts to learn, easy to use, and ensure detachment of the time and place (mobility).
