Summary: | This study aims to identify group products which are the main comparative advantage of
ASEAN-5 (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Philippine) and MERCOSUR
(Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela), and to calculate the trade intensity
between those trading blocs in 1990-2010. This study uses export and import data based
on Standard International Trade Classification Revision 2 (SITC Rev. 2) 3-digit code
published by the United Nations Commodity Trade Statistic Data (UN-COMTRADE).
This study uses calculation of Product Mapping that consists of (a) Revealed Symmetric
Comparative Advantage (RSCA), (b) Trade Balance Index (TBI) |
