are still problem for society health. Helminthiasis disesases is the type of intestinal
worms which becomes the problem of health in Indonesia. It is caused by Soil
Transmitted Helminth (STH) which is included Ascaris Lumbricoides, Trichuris
trichiura, Acylostoma duodenale and Necatar Americanus. The spread of
helminthiasis infection is presumed through inadequate hygiene and sanitation of the
environment. The impact on the helminthiasis disease is to make children
intelligences hampered. The cases of helminthiasis on children at elementary school
of Muhammadiyah Gendol IV in Tempel subdistrict, Sleman Regency in 20011 were
26%.
Objective: The research objective is to describe the quality of house sanitation,
behavior and intestinal worm case, analyze the relationship between the quality of
house sanitation and behavior and the case of intestinal worm on children at
elementary school of Muhammadiyah Gendol IV in Tempel subdistrict, Sleman
regency, Yogyakarta.
Research Methodology: This was observational research with �Case-control
study�. The participants of this research were children in grade III, IV, V and VI at
elementary school of Muhammadiyah Gendol IV Tempel, Sleman, towards 26 cases,
26 controls. Data collected were through laboratory test, interview and observation.
This research was conducted from October to December 2012. Data analysis were
tested using Chi-square and logistic regression using α= 0.05.
The Result and Conclusion: The quality of the house sanitation which does not
fulfill the requirement is 63.5%, bad behavior is 73.1% and helminthiasis case is
19.2%. The factors that have relation to the helminthiasis cases on elementary
